Senior Improvement Adviser 

Salary: £47,973 – £52,971 (35 hours per week)

Contract: Secondment/Fixed Term – to end October 2021. Potential to be extended beyond term stated depending on external funding.

Location: Any Care Inspectorate office across Scotland

About the role

We are looking for a colleague with a strong background and passion in ELC scrutiny to work in the Improvement Support Team for an initial 10 months (potential to be extended, subject to funding). You will lead the ELC Improvement Programme which will support quality improvements within early learning and childcare.

The work is focused on providers who offer funded places and a small number identified as ‘at serious risk of not’ meeting the quality criteria in the National Standard. The work is designed to help ELC providers close the gap of what good practice looks like and what is delivered. The role will provide improvement support, leadership, and direction within the ELC improvement Programme.

You will also be involved in other aspects of the IST role, supporting the building of quality improvement capacity and capability to your colleagues within the Care Inspectorate.

Team Manager – Adults and Early Learning and Childcare

Salary: £46,107 – £52,971 (35 hours per week)

Contract: Permanent or secondment

Location: Any Care Inspectorate office across Scotland

We are looking for 5 team managers for adults’ services, across the country, and 1 part-time post (70 hours) for early learning and childcare, the team is based in the Paisley office, but remote working considered. You will lead a team of inspectors within your specialism.

About the role

Our team managers support their team of inspectors to manage the inspection workload, consider risk factors and maximise performance. They also manage enforcement activity and support service development and improvement. Team managers work closely with our registration and complaints teams to ensure effective regulation of care services.

Team managers have a relationship manager role with a number of local authorities and national providers. They are expected to take part in and keep up to date with national initiatives and development to support the work of the team. Team managers also provide professional development to the team of inspectors that they manage.
