The Care Inspectorate today launched a brand new web version of our flagship magazine, Care News.

The publication - which was recently shortlisted for an industry award - helps people working in the care sector to share and signpost good practice, and to keep others up to date on issues affecting the care industry in Scotland.

The magazine is published four times a year by the Care Inspectorate, and will now also be available online.

The new microsite carries news, advice, best practice and special features that show effective service user involvement and innovative practice to help services to share and learn from each other.

Sarah Wilkie, Editor for Care News, explains:

"The Care Inspectorate is committed to continuous improvement and there is a lot of good practice out there. The site is packed with great stories that showcase what good care looks like and reports on some novel ways to involve people and give vulnerable people a voice.  We know that there are great stories out there that deserve an audience. Thousands of people read the paper copy of the magazine, but a lot of people want to get their news online, both at work and at home. We will still produce the magazine, but the new site will make it easier for new readers to get involved. Visitors to the site can post comments, share their views and suggest stories and topics they’d like to see in future."
