Watchdog welcomes research into outcomes of complaints

The Care Inspectorate today welcomed the results of research it commissioned on its complaints process. The care watchdog received 3234 complaints about care services last year, of which 1763 were registered as formal complaints and investigated.

New Care Homes Toolkit launched by College of Occupational Therapists

The College of Occupational Therapists has launched the Living well Through Activity in Care Homes Toolkit.  The Toolkit has been endorsed by the British Geriatrics Society, Care Inspectorate, Carers Trust, Carers UK, English Community Care Association (ECCA), National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People (NAPA) and Skills for Care.
