Launched today, the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) new mobile website makes it easier for social workers, social care workers, people who use services and members of the public to access information on their smartphones.

From today, visitors who access the SSSC website using their smartphones will automatically be directed to the mobile site. The new mobile website has all the latest SSSC and sector news, events listings and links to all SSSC learning tools and resources.

The mobile website also provides visitors with the same information as the regular SSSC website with a direct link to the regular website for visitors needing additional information.

Anna Fowlie, Chief Executive of the SSSC said:

“In the past year we have noticed that more and more people were visiting our website using their mobile phone.  In 2011alone mobile visits to our website tripled and we expect to see a similar increase this year.  Increasingly, more people use their mobiles whilst on the move and we want to make sure workers and members of the public can access all the latest news, events and information as easily as possible.  Our mobile version makes it easier and faster for people to find what they need whenever and wherever they need it.”
