The Safe Staffing team is leading on a national programme to support care services to prepare for the enactment of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019 in April 2024.  Within the adult care sector, the Act places duties on care service providers and the Care Inspectorate. This will impact on the requirements of care services as defined in section 47(1) of the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010.  You can read a copy of the Act on the Scottish Parliament website.

To support the adults care sector to get ready for the enactment, we are delivering a series of webinars over the next few months. See the table below for further information and how to register.

We will also be hosting regional in-person events near you, so please watch out for further information.
