Nursing & Midwifery Council Edinburgh Office

The NMC have opened a new office on the ground floor of 114-116 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4LH. The Edinburgh office is the base for Cathy Cairns (Assistant Director for Scotland and Northern Ireland affairs). This office will provide a state of the art fitness to practise hearing space and offers a fit for purpose hearings facility which will provide separate facilities for witnesses, registrants and their representatives.

Health guidance note on the new Infection Prevention and Control in Childcare Settings

This health guidance note is applicable to day care of children's settings (excluding schools and some elements are not applicable to outdoor nurseries), to the public and Social Care & Social Work Improvement staff involved in RICE activities.

It explains how the new national guidance document should be used, how it maps to the regulations and national care standards and includes lessons from regulatory activities, useful references and websites.
