The Care Inspectorate has issued an Improvement Notice after an inspection at a care home in Inverness identified serious and significant concerns about the care experienced by residents.

The inspection was carried out at the end of September 2025 and a report of the inspection will be published on our website.

Earlier inspections identified areas for improvement and three Improvement Notices have been issued in relation to this service in the last 12 months.

A spokesperson for the Care Inspectorate said: “An inspection has identified serious and significant concerns about the quality of care experienced by residents at Castlehill Care Home in Inverness.

“We understand this continues to be a difficult and distressing time for residents, their families and staff at the care home.

“However, our priority is always the health and wellbeing of people experiencing care.

“Because of our concerns we have issued this Improvement Notice.

"It sets out the significant improvements that must be made.

“We are in contact with the service to monitor progress and follow up on the required improvements.”

A report of the most recent inspection will be published in due course.
