Joint statement from the Care Inspectorate and Education Scotland on the shared inspection framework for early learning and childcare (ELC) services, including childminding and school-aged childcare in Scotland.
The Care Inspectorate and Education Scotland have published a draft version of the new shared inspection framework.
We would like to hear your feedback on this new framework and invite you to answer 12 short questions in this online survey which closes on 19 January 2024.
Implementation timeframe
We will test out the shared framework on a number of inspections in settings from January 2024. During this time, we will continue to listen to and consider your views to make any changes that are needed.
Both Education Scotland and the Care Inspectorate will then implement the new framework during inspections from September 2024.
