We have been developing toolkits to support early learning and childcare services with self-evaluation.  Each toolkit (one for daycare of children and school-aged childcare and one for childminders) has a range of templates, tools and worked examples specific to that sector.

The toolkit gives a suggested step by step guide and information on:  

  • what self-evaluation is  
  • how to use self-evaluation 
  • carrying out your self-evaluation  
  • involving children who experience care and their carers. 

The aim of the toolkit is to support services to self-evaluate. We would appreciate your feedback on this draft version of the toolkit to enable us to make it as effective as possible for all service types within the early learning and childcare sector.
