The Safe Staffing Programme team has published interim guidance for non-premises-based services for young people and adults on the effective assessment of staffing levels. The guidance is aligned with our quality frameworks and the Health and Social Care Standards and was written in collaboration with our stakeholders.

The guidance is available to download on our website and the Safe Staffing Programme area on The Hub. The Safe Staffing Programme is a national quality improvement programme. We provide advice and support to care services to help them prepare for the implementation of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019 on 1 April 2024.
