We have just published the end of year report of our Safe Staffing programme.
This provides an overview of the work we carried out, in collaboration with key stakeholders, from 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022.
This national quality improvement programme, commissioned by Scottish Government, supports the social care sector to prepare for the implementation of the Health and Care (Staffing) Scotland Act 2019, which comes into effect on 1 April 2024.
Over the next year we will continue to:
- engage extensively with individuals, groups and organisations representing people experiencing care, staff working in and providing social care services
- provide expert advice, support and education to the social care sector.
We are also working collaboratively with staff working within care homes for adults to inform our recommendations on the development of a staffing method.
