We understand the complex and difficult circumstances that services have been dealing with over the last couple of years. We want to thank everyone working in the care sector for their continued commitment to care for people with compassion and dignity.
Adult care services are currently experiencing significant challenges surrounding the recruitment and retention of staff. Many services are dealing with workforce capacity issues or are unable to take on new business because of the insufficient number of staff within the service.
In partnership with Scottish Care and CCPS, we have published a new guide to help with staff planning over the winter period, giving advice and suggestions that you may find helpful.
It is important that care services continue to promote an efficient, effective and multi-disciplinary approach which is open and supportive of staff, especially during these challenging times
Early in 2022 we will be running virtual events to share examples and discuss staffing to support services. Keep an eye out for further information about these events in the new year.
