IRISS (Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Services) is hosting two one-day workshops in partnership with the CCPS (Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland) to be delivered by the Institute for Public Care.

These workshops will explore the key elements of commissioning for outcomes will be interactive and will include sessions on:

  • Commissioning context and framework
  • Using evidence to deliver change in commissioning
  • Commissioning for outcomes
  • Case studies of outcome based contracting
  • Self-assessment exercise - where are you now?
  • Evaluating outcomes

The workshops will take place on:

27th September – Trades Hall, 85 Glassford Street, Glasgow G1 1UH

28th September - Norton Park Conference Centre, Edinburgh

From 10am – 3pm (registration from 9.30am).

Fifty spaces are available at the workshops and demand is likely to be high. Places will be allocated as bookings are made and therefore early application is advised. The workshop is offered under the core programme of IRISS and therefore there is no charge. The workshops are for people who are part of the Scottish health and social care workforce.

This is the first stage of a wider IRISS project that is focused on commissioning for outcomes. We hope to recruit participants for a demonstration project that will look at developing a model of commissioning based on outcomes within one local authority area.
