Disclosure Scotland have developed free employer training with “Scotland Works for You” partners Access to Industry and The Wise Group. This alliance is part of our strong commitment to supporting rehabilitation, which has recently included closer working with Police Scotland’s Violence Reduction Unit and other partners in this area of work.   

“Scotland Works For You” training is designed to provide employers with a structured approach to making defensible, risk based decisions whilst ensuring fair opportunity is given to job applicants with past convictions.

Since its launch in May 2019, this training has been successfully delivered to a range of employers across Scotland. Delegate feedback has been consistently outstanding, with comments including:

  • “Really interesting content delivered in a respectful and thoughtful way. As a Decision maker in my organisation I was really fascinated to learn about the central conversation"
  • “Excellent Course learned a lot and makes you think about things in a different way Well explained and presented”
  • “Very beneficial…describing unconscious bias, your decreasing probability concern and how to take out irrelevant convictions to a role”.

Due to limited places only 2 people per organisation should attend this training.

We value your time and contribution and wish to make sure that all delegates can participate freely in the training so have confirmed that the venue has – 

  • a ramp/lift/step free access to the building and all necessary rooms we’d like you to use during your time with us
  • doorways which are a minimum 800 mm wide for wheelchair access to all required rooms
  • a disabled toilet facility
