The Care Inspectorate would like to raise awareness of the Scottish Patient Safety Programme improvement project ‘Improving pressure ulcers in care homes’.  The Care Inspectorate and Scottish Care support this project.

The programme aim is to reduce pressure ulcers in care homes and will run from May 2016 until December 2017.

Four health and social care partnerships are participating in the project. They have each selected a number of private, local authority, third sector/not-for-profit and NHS care homes from a wide range of urban and rural locations, reflecting the care home sector.

A learning network will be set up to share the outcomes and learning from this programme and other improvement activity taking place in care homes.  If you are interested in being part of this learning network and receiving information on the programmes progress and future networking opportunities, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
