At the request of the Scottish Government, the Care Inspectorate is leading on the development of a self-evaluation model for community justice in Scotland, to help support and build capacity for self-evaluation for improvement. The self-evaluation model sits within the Outcomes Performance and Improvement (OPI) Framework, which Scottish Government and partners have developed.

We are developing the self-evaluation model in close consultation with statutory community justice partners and the third sector across Scotland to secure buy-in from key stakeholders. Self-evaluation is central to continuous improvement. It is likely we will base the self-evaluation model on European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) , which will be familiar to many community justice partners.
