During 2013 into 2014 there will be vaccination for seasonal influenza and pneumococcal vaccine.
People aged 70 years old will be offered a vaccine to provide protection against shingles.
The seasonal flu vaccination programme will be extended to all 2 and 3 year old children.
This guidance will help care staff ensure that:
- the person (or their representative) has consented to have the vaccine
- vaccines are supplied and administered legally
- vaccines are stored correctly
- appropriate records are kept.
