The Scottish Social Services Council's new interactive data website has just gone live.
They make use of the staffing information we collect from services in the annual returns - so good to see the sector getting some extra value from this data.
This year some of the headline findings are:
- 2% drop in the social care workforce between Dec 2011 and Dec 2012
- 4.6% drop in people working in care at home and housing support services
- 8.6% rise in fieldwork social work services for adults
You can play about with this data looking at the information by area, by age groups, by gender, by service type etc.
