The legal classifiction of Tramadol will change to a schedule 3 controlled drug on 10 June 2014. Tramadol is a painkiller commonly prescribed for people who live in care services.
There are no requirements for the safe custody of the drug, therefore there is no legal requirement for storage in a controlled drugs cabinet.
Additional records for Tramadol do not need to be kept in CD register.
