The revised second edition of Health and safety in care homes (HSG220) was published in June 2014.
The guidance is aimed at those providing and managing care homes. It brings together key messages on risks to both workers and residents.
Currently HSE and local authorities investigate serious incidents involving workers or residents in care homes. It is anticipated that there may be changes implemented in England in the near future however arrangements in Scotland will remain unchanged until further notice.
