Roles: Senior Developer (Agile Technical Lead)

Salary: Grade 8, £43,884 - £50,415

Location: Various across Scotland

Hours: 35 hours per week

As a regulator, we inspect 14,000 care and social work registered care services in Scotland to make sure these services meet the right standards and helps them improve where necessary.

We are looking for a Senior Developer to work within our Business Transformation team to build new applications to meet the Care Inspectorate business requirements on the existing NHS Education for Scotland (NES) platform.

The preferred candidate could be based at any of our local offices although there would be an on-going expectation that a minimum of 1 days a fortnight would be spent in Dundee.

The Care Inspectorate has a wide range of users of its services: people who provide care, people who use care, people who commission care, people who wish to raise a concern about care, care inspectors and improvement advisors, other scrutiny partners, government and the public. There is an urgent need to transform the service provided to all of these users. Current systems do not have the technical capacity or flexibility to support all of these user needs, meaning inefficient paper-based and locally derived, inconsistent workarounds are in place. This significantly restricts our ability to deliver work class approaches to risk based, intelligence led scrutiny and improvement and meet the diverse needs of all our stakeholders.
