We have been made aware that an email is being circulated that purports to come from us. The subject of the email is FILE and it asks you to "see attached file for your review".

This email was not sent by us as can be seen by looking at the sender’s address. Please do not open the attachment.

All emails from the Care Inspectorate will come from one of the following:

• or one of our staff – this address would be in the format This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. along with contact details.

If you are suspicious of an email that looks like it comes from us but you are not sure, please do not hesitate to call us on 0345 600 9527 to check if it is genuine.
