We have published our first Annual Report and Accounts. This provides an overview of our progress and achievements since the organisation started in April 2011.
We have reached a great number of goals during our first year of operation.
These include:
- bringing together the staff from the Care Commission, SWIA and the child protection unit of HMIE and agreeing working terms and conditions
- working through challenging timescales to deliver our targets
- implementing our inspection programme for increased frequency of inspections in care homes
- developing our new approach to the scrutiny of services for children.
- We continue to bring greater consistency to care regulation in Scotland, putting people at the heart of everything we do, so that people using services in Scotland get the best possible quality of care.
