Next month, the Care Inspectorate, together with a group of young people, will host an event for 100 young people who use care services in Scotland.

The 'Reach High!' event, on Sunday 30 June 2013 at RATHO Edinburgh International Climbing Arena provides the opportunity for youngsters aged 12-18 to find out more about the Care Inspectorate, to know more about their rights, and to share their experiences of living in, or using care services.

They'll also get the chance to have a go on the climbing walls - and reach as high as they can!

Lisa Kirkbride, Professional Advisor (Equalities and Involvement) explains

'Young people told us that the event must be fun, have activities, allow time to ask questions and not last too long.  So, that's exactly what we're doing.  The morning session will be for giving and sharing information and then the afternoon will be free to explore and use the exciting climbing facilities! Lunch will be held in an inspirational room offering views over the arena and aerial assault course.'

Young people must be accompanied by an adult.
