A nursery in Perth has been given top marks by inspectors for the second inspection in a row.

Inspectors from the Care Inspectorate graded Fairview School Nursery as “excellent” across all areas inspected.

In their most recent inspection inspectors noted: “Staff were providing a caring, nurturing environment for children to develop and learn.

“The staff team was forward thinking and continuing to develop and improve the outcomes for the children and families using the service.

“The nursery should continue to maintain the high quality service it provides.”

A spokesperson for the Care Inspectorate said: ““Every child in Scotland has the right to good quality, compassionate care which meets their needs and respects their rights.

“The majority of nurseries in Scotland perform well, and where we encounter excellence, it is vital we share good practice so that all care services in Scotland continue to improve and reach the high standards we expect.

“There is no room for complacency, however, and we will continue to work with this service to ensure high standards are maintained.

“Anyone with a concern about a service can contact our helpline on 0345 600 9527, anonymously if needed, and all information given to us helps us plan our inspections."
